Reel Mensch Productions inc. launched in November 2010. The goal was to create a production company which, along with making independent films, offers many services to the public.

Amicus Reporting Group is located in the core of Calgary, Alberta. Established in 1987, Amicus Reporting Group is Calgary’s oldest and largest court reporting firm offering the services of Certified Shorthand Reporters.

Project Summary:

In conjunction with Ether Strategy, Pixel Designs helped Amicus Court Reports rebrand from the ground up. Starting with a new logo, Pixel Designs went to redesign their letterhead, business cards, and rebuild their website.

Safeopedia is a groundbreaking concept to allow an open-sourced forum to track all things safety in one central site. It will operate on the Wikipedia model where experts in their fields can directly access and post the information directly to the site.

Project Summary:

Safeopedia has a focus on the energy and construction industries and as such the primary users of their service are the safety officers of these companies. They are representing multi-billion dollar organizations so they needed a logo that was professional and stood out from the crowd. Something that was discussed during the design process was the idea of safety officers being the superheros of their company and as such Safeopedia should be branded as a “Hero”. From this the design of the safety shield was developed as the forefront for Safeopedia.

Julie Properties has been serving the Edmonton Community for over 6 years. They own and operate 8 units around the city of Edmonton that provide affordable, comfortable, and clean residential living spaces.

Project Summary:

Needing a simple, clean website to showcase their residential homes Julie Properties put their trust in Pixel Designs. The primary objective was to make accessing information as easy and quick as possible while allowing specific users who were interested in the properties to view a gallery of images. During the development of the website, Pixel Designs was also given the task to design the Julie Properties logo.

Logo Design

Just starting up, Jennifer Bergman Weddings needed a logo that would serve as the primary mark on all their new marketing collateral.  Wanting something simple, elegant, and meaningful the concept of the growing vines fit all three objectives perfectly. It was decided that soft turquoise was the best color as it would show up well on both dark and light backgrounds. The word mark can be separated from the logo to be used to brand her wedding photography portfolio without interfering with the images.

Once the logo was complete, the design of the website began. The main goal of the website was to attract clientele by showcasing previous clients’ weddings in a large photography portfolio. As Jennifer Bergman Weddings has grown as a company, so too has her website. Post-completion additions of a full feature blog, as well as a testimonials and news section have allowed her to reach out to her customers using social media tactics.
